James Bartholet to Conduct Acting Workshop Sunday

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — XBIZ-Award winning actor James Bartholet will be conducting an acting workshop this Sunday from 1-4 p.m. in Sherman Oaks.

Unique in its premise, the workshop will be geared toward adult performers who want to sharpen their acting chops, and will cover the basics of comedic and dramatic acting and improvisation, as well as cold reading and audition preparations.

Batholet says he has held a similar workshop in the past and is bringing it back based on demand and positive feedback from the previous class.

“Several performers have been contacting me lately to do another acting workshop, and with so many parodies and features being made now, it's time to get ahead in the industry and keep working,” Batholet said. “Plus, some industry performers are making the leap into mainstream projects as well, so you need to be prepared. We’ve had great responses from our previous workshop. Many of my previous students have gone on to receive award nominations and have gotten cast in more roles.”

Bartholet recently scored the 2014 XBIZ award for Best Non-Sex Performance for his role as the Cowardly Lion in "Not The Wizard Of OZ XXX" for X-Play/Pulse. He has coached actors in the adult and mainstream industries, and performed onstage in sketch comedy performances at the Comedy Store in L.A.

The upcoming workshop will run three hours. Entrance costs $30 per student.

Signups for the workshop have begun. All interested performers are invited to contact Bartholet at james@galaxypublicity.com or (310) 652-0770. Prospective students are asked to use “workshop sign up” as the email subject.
