Evil Angel Directors, Performers Receive More Than 70 XBIZ Award Nominations

LOS ANGELES -- Evil Angel and its directors and performers received more than 70 award nomination mentions in a wide range of categories for the 2014 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 24 at the Century Plaza Hotel.

Among the most notable are a company nomination for Studio of the Year and a nod for Crossover Star of the Year for international star and Evil Angel mainstay, Rocco Siffredi. The Italian stud stars in the primetime TV show “It’s Up To Rocco” and mainstream TV commercials in Italy.

Two of Evil Angel’s newest performer/directors, Kevin Moore and Dana Vespoli, were named for the prestigious Director of the Year — Body of Work statuette. Director/performers Mike Adriano, Jonni Darkko and Manuel Ferrara, as well as Moore and Vespoli, were each nominated for Director of the Year — Non-Feature Release. Adriano was recognized for “Anal Supersluts”; Darkko for “Whores Ink”; Ferrara for “Sheena Shaw Wide Open”; Moore for “The Hooker Experience”; and Vespoli for “Girl/Boy.”

Evil Angel’s presence in Studio of the Year categories is likewise notable — in addition to the company’s nomination for the overall award, the production companies headed by six Evil Angel directors were named in the European Studio of the Year category. Those are Christoph Clark’s Clark Euro Angel, David Perry Productions, Jazz Duro Productions, Nacho Vidal Productions, Omar Galanti Productions and Rocco Siffredi Productions. In addition, EvilAngel.com was nominated for Studio Site of the Year.

Altogether, 19 individual Evil Angel directors or director/performers have been lauded with XBIZ 2014 nominations in 28 categories.

For Gonzo Release of the Year, Joey Silvera (“The Ass Party 5”) as well as Ferrara (“Raw 12”) and Vespoli (“Girl/Boy”) took nominations; Silvera’s “The Ass Party,” Ferrara’s “Raw” and Siffredi’s “Rocco’s POV” all received notice for Gonzo Series of the Year. Moore’s “Spandex Loads 7” and “Buttman’s Stretch Class: Detention 3,” by Evil Angel founder John Stagliano, were nominated for Fetish Release of the Year. Darkko’s “Whore’s Ink” is an All-Sex Release of the Year nominee; “The LeWood Anal Hazing Crew,” from the LeWood Productions team of Francesca Le and Mark Wood, was mentioned for All-Sex Series of the Year. Moore’s “The Hooker Experience” is on the Vignette Release of the Year ballot. Aiden Riley’s “No Warning 7” and Vespoli’s “She’s Come Undone” have been noticed for All-Girl Release of the Year.

Star Sean Michaels’ ambitious “The Black Pack” took a nomination for All-Black Release of the Year, and five Evil Angel movies will vie in the Interracial Release of the Year category: Riley’s “Dark Meat 5” is joined by two from Michaels, “Daddy Knows Best 3” and “Evil Cuckold 6,” and two from director/performer Lexington Steele, “Lex Turns Evil” and “Lex vs. Lisa Ann.” Jazz Duro’s “Brazil Xposed” and LeWood’s “Butthole Barrio Bitches” show up in the Latin-Themed Release of the Year competition. Asian aficionado Darkko landed two Asian-Themed Release of the Year noms, one for “Asian Fuck Faces 2” and one for “Slayin’ Asians.”

Silvera and Jay Sin grabbed nominations for big Transsexual niche awards: Both were named for Transsexual Director of the Year and their respective production companies, Joey Silvera Video and Jay Sin Video, are in the Transsexual Studio of the Year category. Silvera’s “She-Male X 5” and “The Next She-Male Idol 5,” as well as Sin’s “TS Playground 3,” received recognition for Transsexual Release of the Year.

Evil Angel directors competing to be named European Director of the Year are Clark, Duro, Siffredi, Omar Galanti and Nacho Vidal. Siffredi’s “XXX Fucktory” took a European Feature Release of the Year nod; his “Cayenne Loves Rocco” and “Rocco’s Psycho Teens 4” join Vidal’s “Have Fun!” and Clark’s “Anal Attraction” in the European Non-Feature Release of the Year grouping.

James Deen, Ferrara, Le, Steele, Duro, Galanti, Perry, Siffredi, Vespoli and Vidal all made the cut in Performer of the Year categories — Le and Vespoli as MILFs, the rest as Males.

Evil Angel directors, stars and company General Manager Christian Mann will be attending the XBIZ Awards ceremony.
