We-Vibe Wins 2 PR Awards at CES

OTTAWA — We-Vibe’s keynote speech at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has captured two PR awards.

We-Vibe presented the keynote address, “Science Meets Sexuality,” at CES in January, marking the first time that a sexual health company was invited to speak at the world’s largest tech tradeshow. The contribution has earned We-Vibe’s agency, Ogilvy Public Relations, two industry awards: a Bronze Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America, and most recently a PR News Platinum Award.

The “Science Meets Sexuality” address, delivered by Grant Bechthold, We-Vibe vice president of product development, merged technology and sexual health to explore how science is enhancing sex and intimacy in the new millennium. According to the company, Bechthold’s speech garnered media attention, increasing We-Vibe brand awareness globally and bringing new customers into the adult channel seeking We-Vibe products.

Both annual honors recognize best-in-class PR tactics and business-building campaigns. At the Bronze Anvils, We-Vibe was recognized alongside established brands like General Mills and Coca Cola. At the PR News Platinum Awards ceremony, which salutes excellence in the year’s communications initiatives, We-Vibe beat out Diageo, Tylenol and the United States Post Office.

We-Vibe employs professional engineers and industrial designers to apply rigorous advanced technology design processes and testing to the sexual health industry. The company utilizes cutting-edge design tools: in-house silicone molding, 3D printing, libraries of more than 400 digital human anatomies and medical mannequins to develop, test and produce its premium products.
