LONDON — Superstar porn duo James Deen and Stoya will grace the cover of high-end men’s fashion magazine Arena Homme + for its Autumn issue.
Deen told XBIZ that he is “proud” of the cover and accompanying editorial spread shot by Steven Klein, a photographer well-known for his W Magazine editorials with Madonna, Brad Pitt and Tom Ford.
The cover photo shows a shirtless Deen lying behind a t-shirted Stoya, vampirically kissing her neck. Both their eyes are closed and her tongue protrudes lasciviously between the fingers of a hand he has laid on her chin.
Often referred to as the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt equivalent of the porn world, this marks the first time that the couple will appear together on a mainstream magazine cover.
Both Stoya and Deen have previously been involved with well-regarded mainstream projects. Most notably, Deen starred alongside Lindsay Lohan in Paul Schrader’s “The Canyons” and Stoya regularly contributes columns to Vice. However, both Stoya and Deen have independently insisted that they have no intention of leaving their careers in adult.
“I have the opportunity to put my brand in front of people that I wouldn’t normally reach, but it’s not a stepping stone,” she told Fashionista, referencing the Arena Homme + spread.
“At the end of the day the reason that these people are interested in me is because I do porn," she added. "There’s really no other reason that a fashion magazine would put a random 26-year-old who’s barely 5’7 in a fashion editorial.”
The Arena Homme + Autumn/Winter issue is slated to release Nov. 7. The U.K.-based male style guide is published twice yearly.
