Asa Akira Answers 'Anything' on Reddit AMA

CYBERSPACE — Newly minted Wicked contract star Asa Akira held a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) Q&A session today, setting the tone with the thread's title and emphatic personal qualifier, “Proud Owner of an Award-Winning Butt Hole.”

The informal format seemed to inspire fans to literally ask “anything,” focusing mostly on her career as a porn star, but also delving into her ethnic heritage (she’s Japanese) and family life.

One user “Darmin” asked:  “How many of your videos do you actually have an orgasm in?”

“Every single one,” she replied. “I'm very lucky, in that I know how to squeeze my pussy in a certain way to make myself cum.” Her response, like all of her responses, set off a long chain of replies, with one commenter asking when she plans to make an instruction video for other women.

Some conversations were less cheeky. When asked if she has turned down anything in porn, she answered, “All the time. I don't do anything that requires me to degrade Asian culture. I don't do ‘funny.’ When I'm shooting a scene, I want to feel sexy.” While some people inevitably made smug comments, others thanked her for respecting her culture.

Akira also admitted that she was every Asian parent’s “worst nightmare” because of her career and that she sometimes fears that the Fleshlight molded from her vagina feels better than the real thing.

Akira is widely considered one of the industry’s top performers, racking up more than 300 movie credits since beginning a full-time porn career in 2008.  In the process, Akira has also amassed two dozen industry awards, including the 2012 XBIZ Performer of the Year.

The Reddit AMA has become a popular fan-celeb interface platform for mainstream and erotic stars alike. Jessica Drake held her own AMA today to raise funds for Team Wicked (helmed by Drake and Wicked Pictures) in the 29th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles. Other A-listers that have opened their ears and their monitors via AMA include Robin Williams and Benedict Cumberbatch.
