VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films is turning to its fans to select four bonus scenes for the upcoming 100th volume of “Women Seeking Women,” releasing on a two-disc DVD set in December.
From Sept. 23 through Oct. 18, fans will be able to submit their favorite scenes from the acclaimed series that began more than 11 years ago. The four most frequently submitted scenes will be included on the second DVD.

Fans may submit their entries via a variety of platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, email (WSW100@girlfriendsfilms.com) and the Girlfriends Films Forum.
“While trying to think of ways to make the 100th volume of ‘Women Seeking Women’ extra special, we decided letting the fans choose four bonus scenes made the most sense,” Girlfriends Films Vice President Moose said. “For a long time, we’ve prided ourselves on our interactivity — the forum gives fans a place to provide feedback, which we always take to heart. All of us at Girlfriends Films are looking forward to seeing what the fans come up with, as we each have our own personal favorites over the past 11 years.”
In addition to the four bonus scenes, “Women Seeking Women: Volume 100” will include four brand new scenes filmed during the past year.
“I’ve been saving the best scenes we’ve shot during 2013 for the 100th volume,” said Girlfriends Films owner Dan O’Connell. “Volume 1 of the series is one of the first four titles we ever released, and it certainly had an impact on how lesbian porn would be made in the future. The inspiration for the series came from the dating pages of print newspapers and magazines at the time, shortly before most dating activity moved online.”
The first volume of the all-girl series released on Oct. 1, 2002 to immediate commercial and critical acclaim, Girlfriends Films sale representatives say.
O’Connell adds, "I was only in the business part-time during the first 15 volumes of ‘Women Seeking Women’ and it is now the only Girlfriends Films series for which we release new volumes each month.”
On the cusp of its 100th volume release, “Women Seeking Women” is the longest running lesbian erotica series of all time.
