Williams Trading Reports Successful N.C. Training Event

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Williams Trading Company has announced the success of its recent distributor sponsored training event.

The company hosted a one-day training at the Hilton Executive Park Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina on Aug. 22 for the brick-and-mortar stores local to the area.

Marketing and promotions coordinator Kelly Szwed developed the event to maximize the one-on-one time each vendor had with the attendees. “The take-away was a wealth of new knowledge and information to implement in their stores immediately," Szwed, said.

Several chains were represented where managers and buyers had an opportunity to peruse first hand the newest and best products followed by a training session including up selling and merchandising tips, then rounded it out with a Q&A session.

“Training stores is the new way. Events like this helps the stores have a better idea on the products they sell, where they can pass on that knowledge to the end user which makes it a win/win for everybody," senior sales specialist Ron Kohls, commented.

Leading manufacturers at the event included Icon Brands, The Screaming O, Pipedream Products, Classic Erotica, Shunga Erotic Art, System Jo, California Exotic Novelties, and Novel Creations.

"Everyone in attendance liked the format of the seminar and hopefully everyone was able to learn a little something that maybe they were not aware of before from the vendors who showcased their products," added senior sales specialist Bob Cichetti. "Being able to put faces with names means a lot because we don't always get a chance to meet everyone that we deal with and seminars like this provide that little something extra."
