LOS ANGELES — Mia Isabella is photographed and interviewed by photographer Dave Naz for his photo and video project, Trans.
It will be available on DaveNaz.org. The images will also appear in Naz’s upcoming photo book, "Genderqueer," published by Barnacle/Rare Bird and available in 2014.
“If you ever need to explain the definition of the phrase, Va-Va-Voom, use a photo of Mia Isabella; she exemplifies it," Naz said. "She is a true model, going from soft and beautiful to fierce and hot in the click of a shutter. I’ve been working on 'Genderqueer' for a few years now and Trans seemed like the next logical step. These gender study projects have allowed me to meet some great people and I hope to raise awareness and tolerance.”
Isabella enjoyed the photo shoot with Naz.
“It’s magical when a photo shoot comes together and model and photographer can create something special,” she said. “Being interviewed for a documentary, and speaking about my own unique experience as a transsexual porn star, was liberating. I want to get the message out and break as many barriers as I can.”
Isabella was recently Model of the Month for KinkeMagazine.com’s July-August issue and is planning on making another trip to New York City to host an issue release party as well as embark on a media tour.
