Married Porn Duo Profiled in The Sun

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. — The Sun published a profile of Jennifer and Craig Chalmers today, unpacking their transformation from an ordinary married couple to a porn power duo, performing as Jasmine Jae and Ryan Ryder.

Their transformation's success is evident: this year they scored nominations for the 2013 Paul Raymond Male and Female Performer of the Year awards.

The Chalmers were introduced to the adult world one year ago through a chance meeting with an American performer. Before that, they were both working straight jobs. Jennifer said that her parents were "surprised" when she told them about their career change but neither her nor Craig regrets the decision.

“I’m not ashamed of what I’m doing now — Jen and I are both really happy and we are making a success of it,” Craig Chalmers said.

Prior to becoming one of the U.K.’s small handful of male performers, Chalmers worked in musical theatre, touring for several years as the star of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat." He was originally discovered on Andrew Llloyd Webber’s TV talent show “Any Dream Will Do.”

Poised to play Prince Charming in "Cinderella," Chalmers was sacked for his side-job in the porn business.

Jennifer Chalmers found that after seven years as a suit in the business-and-marketing world, she was ready for a more titillating day job.

“I was stuck in the office nine to five every day and I was bored to tears,” she said. “Plus, I barely saw Craig as he was travelling all over the country with his theatre work.

“But after we discussed the idea I took to doing porn films straight away and just felt really comfortable.”

The couple told The Sun that their adult career rakes in more money than their previous gigs, although Jennifer now earns more than Craig.

"And we don’t have to work such long hours, so we get to spend much more time together,” he added.

They said that off set they still find time to have “husband and wife” sex and live a quiet, domestic life.

“We are very ordinary — that’s just who we are,” Jennifer Chalmers said. “We get in from work and we don’t sit around talking about sex.”
