Priya Rai Says Goodbye to Porn, Hello to Husband-to-Be

LOS ANGELES — Indian-born adult star Priya Rai has announced her retirement from porn, as well as her engagement to a business man working outside of the adult industry.

Rai said that her decision to leave the adult industry was completely of her own volition.

“I am so grateful for all the work and success I have had in this business and all the wonderful people I've worked with, but it is time for me to move ahead with my mainstream career and my personal life,” Rai said.

The now ex-adult starlet has a few mainstream projects lined up, including a Bollywood project and the lead role in Tom Kat Films’ “Isis Rising: Curse of the Lady Mummy,” co-produced with porn actor James Bartholet.

Rai addressed her fans: “To all of my fabulous fans, I say thank you so much and please look for me in my mainstream projects — you'll love them."

While Rai said she is excited to announce her engagement, she refuses to reveal intimate information about her mystery hubby and their relationship.

"I've met a very wonderful man, he is thoughtful and caring,” Rai said. “I know you all want details, but we want to keep our private life private. So, all I am going to say is that he is a very successful businessman and he is not in the industry.”

Rai was profiled for Hustler's September 2013 issue, currently available at newsstands across the country. She also recently debuted a T-shirt design for Tit’s T-shirts.
