pjur Releases 1st Additive-Free Lube

MIAMI — pjur has introduced an assortment of new lubricants, including its first-ever glycerin-free, paraben-free and preservative-free product, pjur Woman Nude, set to launch in July.

According to pjur Group CEO Rich Harris, the development of its “free” lubricant (i.e., free of all unhealthy additives) has been a long and costly process, but has finally yielded a product that the company can embrace.

“When we do that with our chemists, it’s not like that happens in a day,” Harris explained to XBIZ. “What happens is that they formulate one and we don’t like it. So this went back and forth and back and forth forever, and I thought we’d never even be able to ever come out with it because our group does not put products on the market that are not pleasant.”

However, after several years, $50,000 in laboratory fees and many positive reviews from female testers, Harris believes pjur has created a health-conscious product “women will appreciate and enjoy using, as opposed to appreciate and not enjoy using.”

According to Harris, many other “free” lubricants on the market simply do not hold up performance-wise.  “People kind of muddle through and use them, and that’s not really our vibe,” he said. “A lot of companies just put them out there and they are what they are – that’s not our thinking.”

Pjur Woman Nude is long-lasting, nonsticky and has no after-use cleanup, Harris said.

While “free” lubricant choice is still relatively limited, Harris noted that the market trends show that demand for paraben-free, glycerin-free, preservative-products are on the rise, as people more towards generally healthier lifestyles.

Other new pjur lubricants include pjur Backdoor Relaxing Anal Glide, plur Analyse Me! Relaxing Anal Glide and pjur Woman Toy Lube.
