Bill Rix Named Sales, Marketing Manager at White Ghetto Films

CHATSWORTH, Calif —Former Pure Play Media sales manager Bill Rix has joined White Ghetto Films as the sales and marketing manager.

Rix told XBIZ that he transferred to White Ghetto Films due to a fortuitous coincidence: a mutual business acquaintance recommended him to them while he was planning to move back to L.A. after a stint in Tennessee.

Now in its ninth year of business, White Ghetto Films describes itself as a “niche hardcore” studio, specializing in genres like transsexuals, squirting, cream pie, hairy, MILFs, granny/old lady, gang bang, lesbian, fetish, BBW and monster cocks.

Rix believes that the studio has kept a relatively low profile but hopes to change that by expanding its presence in the adult industry and its fan base using Twitter and Facebook to proliferate regular press releases, freebies and giveaway promos.

The company will also increase its number of web banner ads and its presence at industry trade shows and fan events.

“We'll be working closely with our leading retail/e-tail accounts and video-on-demand providers to broaden our brand identity to their customers at the street-level and tie it all together with the affiliate marketing efforts of our company’s websites,” Rix said.

“For us, it’s about making consumers aware of the multitude of genres we offer, not trying to cash in on what name porn stars are in our movies," Rix added. It’s really two different types of consumers."

White Ghetto Films released its latest transsexual niche title “Monsters Of She Male Cock 31” on Monday.

“Our company offers a unique product that doesn’t quite fit into the typical 'mainstream porn' categories but for which there is a very loyal fan base for each of the various niches.

Rix noted that the current DVD market is "extremely tough" but looks forward to facing the challenges, which add an element of excitement to his work.

Besides previously managing sales for Pure Play Media, Rix has also done independent PR for DreamZone Entertainment, Pleasure Productions, Vantage Distribution and Tom Byron Pictures.
