CAMARILLO, Calif. — The city of Camarillo has instituted a 45-day moratorium on production of adult films, according to the Associated Press.
City Council decided on a moratorium Wednesday evening in a special meeting after it received a rush of film permit requests.
Camarillo is in Ventura County, just a one-half hour drive from Porn Valley within Los Angeles County where voters approved Measure B, requiring condom use during porn shoots.
The council will look at drafting regulations aimed at the porn industry, according to the report.
When reached by XBIZ, the city attorney declined to name the number or names of adult studios that have applied for film permits.
