Digital Playground Star BiBi Jones Returns to Performing

LOS ANGELES — BiBi Jones, who had abruptly announced her retirement from porn last July, has returned to performing exclusively for Digital Playground, doing her first sex scene of her comeback last week.

The 21-year-old contract performer worked with Bill Bailey in the upcoming Digital Playground movie “Community Sex” which also stars Kayden Kross.

“I’m really happy to be back,” Jones told XBIZ Tuesday. “Everyone was really welcoming on set. I was a little nervous about it but it went really well. Hey, everyone loves a comeback. I needed to take a break and have some me time and get some things straightened out.”

Jones, a breakout star in 2011 who was a nominee for Best New Starlet in January 2012, surprised the industry by retiring via a homemade YouTube video she posted last July.  In what was an emotional message to her fans and the industry, Jones said she had not been happy with how her career had been going and needed "a fresh start.” She said in the video that she valued the friendships she’d made and she was sorry to Digital Playground and its parent company Manwin for her decision to leave the business.

But now Jones carries a renewed optimism.

“I really needed to ground myself and figure out what I really wanted in life and take some time and really think about things,” she explained. “I decided what I really want is to be back in the adult industry and to make a career out of it. So I worked things out with them.”

Noting that what she missed most was “being on the set and the whole experience,” Jones added, “I worked things out to be better for me. It was really about communication with [Digital Playground]. I wasn’t sure of things before, but now the lines of communication are open.”

Jones said she has three years remaining on her Digital Playground contract that calls for a total of 12 movies and 24 sex scenes this year.  The native of Oklahoma who resides in Scottsdale, Ariz., said she’ll continue to travel to LA to shoot her movies.

“I don’t think I’ll be moving any time soon,” she said.

During her hiatus, Jones revealed that she landed “a normal job” doing sales and marketing for a restoration company in Arizona. She intends to keep that job and work there when she isn’t doing movies.

“It helps keep me grounded,” Jones said. “My boss knows everything [about my porn career]. I’m the only girl working there so we joke around a lot and I flirt with them. They’re fun guys.”

While Jones only recently started performing again, she already made her first industry appearance last month at the Adult Entertainment Expo at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

“I had the most fun at [AEE] this year. It was just good seeing everyone,” Jones said. “Everyone was asking me questions. I don’t know if people really believed I was back.”

Due to Digital Playground’s reserve of movies, Jones still had new titles being released while she was gone.

She said last week’s scene marked her second time working with Bill Bailey.

“I don’t mind working with him, all the guys are pretty cool. I don’t have like a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ list,” Jones said.
