LOS ANGELES — Mia Isabella will be appearing at Micky’s this Wednesday night from 7 to 10 p..m as part of Scotty B’s special seasonal Cocktails with the Stars Super-Month.
There will be a Kids Shoe Drive presented by Christian Owen asking festive fans to please bring a new pair of children’s shoes or a gift certificate.
Other adult performers present will be Jimmy Durano and JR Bronson.
Host Christian Owen said, “When I was a child I was excited when I got a new pair of shoes at Christmas. For this reason, I started an annual shoe drive 9 years ago to provide shoes for children in need to help make their Christmas special. This has been a hard year for many people, but it is time to open our hearts to those in need by donating a new pair of shoes that will be given to the children of West Hollywood.”
Isabella, who won Nightmoves Transsexual Performer of the Year 2012, is now nominated for two XBIZ awards for Best Transsexual Release for "Want Some Honey 2" and Best Transsexual Website for www.Mia-Isabella.com.
She has made it her goal to volunteer and assist in as many charities as she can, including taking a special interest in helping young gender-confused people make the same transition that she has gone through and continues to go through as smoothly and as painlessly as possible.
“I started my career in adult entertainment when I was 19 and I want to be a role model for the TS community because I know first-hand how extremely hard and brave it is to put yourself out there into the mainstream world and not back down from being who you are,” she said.
"There’s a lot in the community I want to be a part of. And it’s not because I’m a porn star, but because I’m a TS first and foremost. Being in the adult industry didn’t exploit who I am, it only made me more confident to be the person I always knew I could be.”
