LOS ANGELES — Komar Company has announced the 29th Annual Green Valley North Turkey Trot to benefit Crohn’s and Colitis research.
The event tales place Thanksgiving morning and is put on by the volunteer efforts of the Komar staff.
The morning includes charity auctions, special guests, kids entertainment, event t-shirts, a canned food drive, and door prizes all culminating around the main event, a 5 mile run / 3 mile walk.
In 2011 approximately 2,000 participants help raise more than $50,000, 100 percent of which was donated to Johns Hopkins Hospital and University of Maryland Medical System to aide in their search for a cure.
Event Creator and Komar President Morton Hyatt is proud to report to date this event has raised more than $890,000 for the cause.
