Priya Rai, James Bartholet to Produce Horror Movie

LOS ANGELES — Adult star Priya Rai and industry actor and radio personality James Bartholet are set to star in Tomcat Film's new supernatural thriller "Isis Rising: Curse of the Lady Mummy."

The duo will also serve as associate producers on the Lisa Palencia-directed project, which is slated to shoot in Arizona this October.

"This is a very exciting project to be working on, and I am so thrilled and honored to be starring in it," Rai said. "It's going to be a lot of fun filming this. I love horror movies, and I can't wait to get started."

Rai toplines the film as the Egyptian Goddess Isis, raised from the dead by a careless group of college coeds trapped inside a museum while working on an Archeology assignment. Bartholet plays an ill-fated security guard named Henry.

"The script looks great, it's very suspenseful, and the audiences will love it," Bartholet said. "Priya and I are very happy to not only be costarring in this, but also working as associate producers. We're very fortunate that a production company is giving us the chance to show our mainstream acting and producing side to the world."

Tomcat Films recently produced the horror films "Snake Club: Revenge of the Snake Women," starring Penthouse Pet and lesbian-porn starlet Veronica Ricci, and "Bloody Mary 3D," with Ricci, Shay Golden and Ron Jeremy.

"We're looking forward to starting this film, “Tomcat Films proprietor Ted Chalmers said. "The elements are all here in line with the Tomcat brand. We’ve got a sexy, supernatural antagonist, a thrilling storyline, visual effects and a star in the gorgeous, talented Priya Rai, whom I’ve envisioned for the role since I first conceived the project."
