CalExotics Nominated for 7 'O' Awards

CHINO, Calif.  California Exotic Novelties has received seven O Awards nominations.

Phil Varone’s Sex, Toys and Rock ‘n Roll Collection tops the list with nominations in four separate categories. Sue Johanson’s Vibrating Glow-in-the-Dark Vibrating Super Head Honcho is nominated for Outstanding Product for Men, and the Up! Collection is nominated for Outstanding Enhancement Product.

The Butterfly Kiss is nominated for Outstanding Powered Product.

“How thrilling it is to see our products recognized in so many different categories,” said Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties. “This is a testament to all the hard work and dedication of the entire CalExotics team. Thank you, AVN, for these nominations.”

Phil Varone is the former drummer for Skid Row and Saigon Kick, a reality TV Star, and a Playgirl centerfold. He’s also done several DVDs with Vivid Entertainment, has produced his own live rock and roll comedy show, and has appeared on talk and television shows like "Californication," "The Today Show," "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and more.

“Imagine my surprise to find out that my line has been nominated not for just one or even two “O” Awards, but four!” Varone said. “I’m absolutely blown away and thank AVN, the nominating industry, and of course CalExotics for making this possible.”

Varone’s Sex Stix are nominated for Outstanding Product for Women, The Dr. Philgood for Outstanding Non-Powered Product, and the entire line is up for the Outstanding Marketing Campaign and Outstanding Packaging Award.

Jackie White, vice president of sales for California Exotic Novelties said, “The O Awards promise to be a spectacular event again this year. Held in conjunction with the International Lingerie Show and the AVN Expo, the ceremony should be an incredibly festive occasion. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there!”

The fourth annual O Awards are scheduled for Sept.11.
