Allie Haze Announces Amicable Departure From Vivid

LOS ANGELES — Adult performer Allie Haze has announced her amicable departure from Vivid Entertainment.

During her year- long contract with Vivid, Haze starred in features such as “Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody” and vignettes such as “Allie Haze: True Sex.” She also starred in New Sensations’ “Lost and Found.”

Haze was named the 2012 Performer of the Year by XCritic.com and TLARaw.com. Interested in pursuing more diverse visibility, Haze said she is taking her career in a new direction.

“I learned so much about myself and this amazing industry during my time with Vivid,” she said.  “I am forever grateful to everyone at Vivid who helped shape my career into what it is today.

“I’m thrilled about this next phase. There are many great producers in the industry and each has been supportive of my career. I'm not sure yet which direction I will go, but the options are limitless and I feel blessed. This is a great time to be an adult performer.”

Haze is represented by LA Direct Models.

“Allie has shown great poise and dedication in her year with Vivid,” owner Derek Hay said.

“She has shown maturity beyond her years in her movie performances and handled her appearance and convention work, in an exemplary manner. Once more a free agent, no doubt many studios will wish to include Allie in their movies.”

In addition to landing various magazine covers, the performer, under the name Brittney Joy, was selected to star in seven mainstream feature films in the remake of the “Emmanuelle” series. After being showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, the series made its television debut on Cinemax in October 2011.

When announcing Haze as the 2012 Performer of the Year, XCritic.com editor Chris Thorne wrote, “Allie Haze showed that the girl next door could be sweet, charming, and absolutely naughty. She helped make ‘Lost and Found’ our top pick for the year and then showed just how hot she could get in ‘Raw 6.’ Allie Haze breathed life in a tough year for porn, she was exactly what the industry needed, exactly when it needed it.”
