Adam & Eve’s 'Killer Bodies: The Awakening' Nominated for XRCO Award

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve Pictures’ interactive adult film “Killer Bodies: The Awakening” is nominated for Best Epic at the 2012 XRCO Awards.

The company said that the erotic, choose-your-own adventure from director David Lord is one of the most heavily nominated and acclaimed movies of the year.

“We are very proud to see the interactive ‘Killer Bodies’ represented in the Best Epic category at this year’s XRCO Awards,” Adam & Eve Pictures executive Bob Christian said.

“In our business, high-end features have become a very rare commodity and we feel it’s important to continue this tradition of quality adult filmmaking. David Lord and the entire team that worked on this movie really created something fresh and innovative, and we at Adam & Eve are thrilled with the response from critics and consumers. Thank you to the XRCO voters for nominating this very special movie.”

The XRCO’s Best Epic nom recognizes an elite category of adult features maintaining a standard of high production value and creativity.

“I would like to thank the XRCO for this prestigious nomination,” Lord said. “Adam & Eve took a chance on producing a very challenging project, and it’s a terrific reward to get this level of recognition from the panel of professional critics at XRCO.”

Hailed as “one of the most innovative adult films ever made” by Club Magazine, “Killer Bodies: The Awakening” has won high praise from AVN, XBIZ, Adult DVD Talk, XCritic.com, and many other mainstream and adult media outlets.

XBIZ bestowed its Editors Choice honor on “Killer Bodies.”

The movie is described as “an action-thriller with plenty of fast-paced sex and even a gratuitous explosion or two to keep the adrenaline going from scene to scene.”

Naming it an XCritic Pick, reviewer Don Houston wrote, “‘Killer Bodies: The Awakening’ had heated sex, performers with chemistry and enough fuck for the buck to elevate it as a must have."

“Killer Bodies: The Awakening” allows fans to control the fate of star Tori Black, as well as Adam & Eve contract girls Alexis Ford and Teagan Presley. The movie also features performances by Barrett Blade, Raylene, Jessica Jaymes, Brooke Lee Adams, Randy Spears, Sascha, Derrick Pierce, Seth Gamble, Eric Masterson, and Chris Johnson.

The supporting cast includes Kayme Kai, Daisy Cruz, Brooklyn Bailey, Wizzard, Crash, Zoe Holloway, and Jack Vegas.

In addition to the XRCO nomination, “Killer Bodies” received 12 nominations for the 2012 AVN Awards, including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Actor (Barrett Blade), Best Actress (Tori Black), and Best Overall Marketing Campaign.

The movie was also honored with nine nominations at the 2012 XBIZ Awards, including Feature Movie of the Year and Director of the Year – Individual Project.
