Studio 8033 Gets New Lease on Life as 'Remmet Studios'

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Studio 8033, a popular mainstay for porn valley video productions has a new name and owner who promises to give the space a new lease on life.

With its new moniker — Remmet Studios — the location is open for adult and mainstream alike with a long list of improvements underway, according to its new owners.

The facility — aka Film Studios LA —  was put on the market by owner and adult performer Sascha Koch (Libido) last May for $475,000, but then in January offered for free to a worthy entrepreneur to be picked by Koch.

"We are very excited to be taking over Studio 8033, which we are calling Remmet Studios from here on out," said Laura Dee, who spearheaded the acquisition. "Most people in the industry call it 'Remmet' anyway, so we wanted to just take the name back to the one that's universally known."

Dee told XBIZ, "We are looking forward to working with everyone, in both the adult and mainstream industries, we are doing a lot of great new improvements on the studio that will make it an even more pleasurable experience to film here."

With the new name comes several welcome changes: studios B, C, D, E and F are now simply studios 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and boast more than 15,000 square feet of usable production space.

Along with cleaning and remodeling all of the existing sets, the team is rebuilding and remodeling many for a more professional appearance, and reinforcing the walls and doors for strength.

The green rooms and bathrooms are all being fully remodeled. And increased parking and a new loading dock are in the works to accommodate larger productions.

Future plans call for high-end offices with conference rooms, executive offices, break room, cubicle bullpen, hallways, and a elevator set with functioning doors. An indoor basketball court complete with bleachers is also in the works, as well as the requisite classrooms and dorm rooms.

The studio has also launched its new website, and a grand opening party is planned once renovations are complete.

"We are open for business now, so call us and tell us what you need and we can make it happen," Dee said.

For booking inquiries email info@remmetstudios.com or call (310) 737-8033, however, clients are advised to email first.
