DGirlsCash Operator, Others Face $10M Suit

MIAMI — The operator of DGirlsCash.com, who was criminally indicted after an aspiring model said she was made an unwilling porn star after she allegedly was drugged, now faces a $10 million lawsuit.

Miami Vibes President Emerson Callum, who operated DGirlsCash.com and marketed the "DCashGirls" line of DVDs, and alleged accomplice Lavont Flanders are named in the civil suit filed at federal court in Miami.

Also named is Callum's companies — DCash Technologies Inc. DSynternet Media and DSynternet Online Inc. — as well as BlackPlanet.com, which is alleged to have been negligent by allowing Flanders and Callum to act as sexual predators on the popular mainstream social-networking site.

Jane Doe No. 11, in her suit, makes charges of direct corporate liability, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress, as well as sexual battery.

After reading modeling enticements on the Internet, Doe was told she would be the face of a new Bacardi drink and another was told she would get a role in a Paramount film.

But instead of the promises, the women allegedly were plied with booze and Xanax and later were filmed having sex.

According to the indictment, as early as May 2006, Flanders fraudulently posed as a talent scout on BlackPlanet.com. He would entice women to travel to South Florida for auditions, and offer them potentially lucrative acting or modeling contracts.

Flanders and Callum worked together at least nine times, with Flanders communicating with the women online and later meeting them, according to the indictment. Flanders used about a dozen aliases in the scheme.

Flanders is accused of giving the women spiked drinks as part of the audition, while Callum is accused of having sex with the women, while Flanders filmed the acts, all of them taped at Miami Vibes Enterprises offices in Miramar, Fla.

The sex tapes ended up being sold on DGirls-related websites.

In the civil suit, Doe said she found out about her porn appearance after she was contacted by her agent who asked her why she didn't tell him that she appeared in pornography.

"Shocked and confused, Jane Doe informed her agent that she had never appeared in pornography," the suit said. "Jane Doe's agent informed her that there is a hardcore pornographic video of her available on the Internet."

The agent later brought the videotape to Doe's house to view. On the video was Doe with Callum, a Jamaican adult performer known as Jah-T.

"Jane Doe watched the video of her with Edward Callum, realizing for the first time that she had been raped by Callum during one of the auditions," the suit said.

Flanders and Callum both could face life sentences if convicted of sexual battery, human trafficking and conspiracy at their criminal trial that's scheduled to begin in November.
