Cybersocket Sponsors XBiz Forum, Launches Official Gay Phoenix Forum

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – With two of the most highly anticipated adult industry gatherings coming up – CCBill’s Phoenix Forum and the XBiz Summer Forum – gay adult publisher Cybersocket has thrown its hat into the ring by officially announcing sponsorship plans and the launch of a Gay Phoenix Forum slated for the fall.

In addition to being a sponsor of the XBiz Summer Forum, scheduled for July 12-14, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Cybersocket also will be the producer of the “Official Gay Party of XBiz Summer Forum ’06,” which will take place over the three nights of the forum.

The Cybersocket parties will take place in a suite at the Hard Rock and will include dancers, music, food, and “endless booze,” company founders Morgan Sommer and Tim Lutz announced Tuesday.

“This event promises to be a great low-key, two-day getaway, and these parties are sure to be one of the key events at the show,” Sommer said.

Additionally, Sommer and Lutz announced the launch of The Gay Phoenix Forum in partnership with CCBill, which helms the yearly Phoenix Forum in Tempe, Ariz. in April.

The Gay Phoenix Forum will be held Oct. 5-7 at a downtown Phoenix resort hotel and Cybersocket will be a Premier Sponsor for the event. Cybersocket also will move its annual Cybersocket Web Awards to the first night of The Gay Phoenix Forum.

The award's show will be held at the Amsterdam Club and Café and will feature a VIP industry lounge, an open bar, go-go dancers and an appearance by Chi Chi LaRue as emcee.

Sommer and Lutz added that they have decided not to produce any parties at Internext in Florida this year or to attend the show.

“The time has come to rearrange our priorities and to modify what events we participate in, and to what degree,” the two founders said.

Other Cybersocket-supported events coming up include sponsorship of Christopher Street West, L.A.’s Gay Pride Festival in West Hollywood on June 8. Cybersocket will host an industry-only pre-pride kickoff party at a new location, which has yet to be announced.
