HBO Series ‘True Blood’ Features Coquette Costume

CAMBRIDGE, Ontario — The season finale of the HBO series “True Blood” featured a Coquette Masquerade costume.

Actress Lauren Bowles whose character Holly Cleary is shown wearing the Fairy costume, model M6033, from the Masquerade Collection.

“It is extremely exciting and flattering to see one of your creations come to life on such a well-known and popular hit series,” said Elaine Carson, Coquette’s senior designer. “As a designer this is a fabulous way for our work to be recognized and is quite rewarding.”

The piece is intricately made with varying layers of sheer nylon and topped off with an embroidered layer with ribbon and sequin appliqué. This costume was designed with the inspiration to be light, playful and youthful, the company said.

In addition to fantasy and fairy tale costumes, Coquette’s collection ranges from career themes, animals, costumes for couples and role-play outfits. Coquette’s Main Collection features various corsets similar to those famously worn by the character Jessica Hambe played by actress Deborah Ann Woll, the company said.

Coquette said the company is thrilled to have one of its costumes features on the popular series and expects the fairy costume to be high demand this year.
