Adult Performer Vanessa del Rio Launches Phone Chat

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Adult performer Vanessa del Rio has announced the launch of a new service that will allow her fans to connect with her by phone.

The service is being made available through myphonesite.co.uk, a global VoIP website generator that allows adult talent to create their own pay-per-minute hotline.

“Over the years, I have had countless requests from my fans to call me. Naturally, I did not want to give them my number. An even if I did, it would have been difficult to monetize the call. Now I can charge what I like per minute, with my real number remaining hidden to callers at all times,” del Rio said.

Of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent, the star has received more than a dozen adult industry awards over the years. She began her career in 1974 doing feature films and loops and remained active on screen until 1986, when she retired to run her fan club and make personal appearances.

She has been mentioned in a song by Digital Underground and other rap songs, in some of which she made an appearance.

In 1996 she created and ran her website, VanessadelRio.com.

Del Rio's "Uncensored Pictorial Autobiography" was published by Taschen Books.

“Personally, I much prefer the telephone to communicate with my fans if I can meet them in person,” del Rio said.

She added, “I’m not really an avid Tweeter, and I feel my fans deserve more than the occasional 140 characters of text. So for me the phone is ideal. Plus now I can make money, wherever I happen to be. I find it quite liberating.”
