Command's ‘Foxtrot’ to Stream Exclusively on HotMovies

PHILADELPHIA — HotMovies.com announced this week it will re-release Command Cinema's golden age of porn blockbuster, “Foxtrot,” on June 20, making the movie available to customers on an ongoing basis for the first time.

The New Year's Eve-themed movie, directed and produced in 1982 by Command auteur Cecil Howard, originally aired on HotMovies for the 2011 New Year's celebrations and stayed on the site for the month of January in limited release. Prior to that, like most of Howard's work, it had been off the market for two decades.

"’Foxtrot’ was an enormous hit when it first came out and its first time around on VOD," Howard said. "But I know a lot of people never got a chance to view it. I thought it was time to put it out there for all time for all to see. Plus it's great to expand what has become a tremendous partnership with the people at HotMovies."

Deep Throat director Gerard Damiano called it "far and away the best adult film of the year" in his January, 1983 review of “Foxtrot” for High Society Magazine.

Winner of 10 awards from various panels including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor, the “Foxtrot” cast features Penthouse centerfold Marlene Willoughby, Samantha Fox, Vanessa del Rio, Tiffany Clark, Sharon Mitchell, Ron Jeremy and Veronica Hart.

"I'm stoked we have the opportunity to offer this classic full time," said James Cybert, HotMovies director of business development. "It's one of the true strengths of our site that we are the only place to find Howard's work, which influenced the way porn is made to this day ... at least, the good porn."

Howard plans to continue unearthing further lost classics for HotMovies in the near future. The next month-long limited release will be “October Silk.”

Produced by Howard with direction by the late Henri Pachard, “Silk” is the true original sequel to the Command classic “Babylon Pink,” which also spawned sequels “Babylon Pink 2” and “Babylon Pink 3.”
