Manwin Acquires YouPorn.com

LUXEMBOURG — Manwin announced Tuesday that it acquired YouPorn.com, one of the top-ranking adult tube sites.

Manwin, which owns Brazzers among many other blue-chip brands in adult entertainment, also said it purchased YouPornGay.com and YouPornCocks.com in the deal with Curacao-based Midstream Media International N.V., which was finalized Thursday.

Manwin officials did not disclose the purchase price.

YouPorn, which debuted in August 2006, has an Alexa traffic rating worldwide of No. 81; in the U.S., it is ranked No. 91.

“We feel it is a complimentary acquisition to our network of sites,” says Fabian Thylmann, Manwin's managing partner. “YouPorn is a pioneer site that has a strong and loyal following.

"We intend to grow the site in the spirit it was created in and the diligence it was maintained with.”

The site offers a variety of niches, with videos divided into 61 categories. It also allows visitors a unique surfing experience by suggesting videos based on the activity they have on the site.

Manwin officials said YouPorn will continue to operate with its content partner program.

YouPorn recently was involved in claims of history sniffing, a technique that exploits a browser bug revealing places where surfers go. Two class action suits, one in California and another in Quebec, were filed over the allegations.
