Klein suffered several broken ribs, a broken lower jaw, pelvic bone injuries and a punctured lung. She had spent a considerable amount of the time since the accident on respiratory support.
She had surgery on her jaw and her mouth was wired for a few weeks but since then the wires have been removed and only permanently implanted hidden plates remain. Kimora's speech is normal.
