Angel Pictures Sues After Content Gets Streamed on 6 Sites

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Angel Pictures International claims in a lawsuit filed on Friday that business partner Sin City Entertainment broke its distribution agreement and released its content on six streaming-content sites.

Sin City, in the suit, is being fingered for allegedly expanding without permission a deal where Angel Pictures gave exclusive DVD distribution rights in the U.S.

Angel Pictures said that it didn't agree to any other deal to sell copies of its content in non-DVD formats.

The Chatsworth, Calif., company noted the copyright infringement case centers on three of its movies, all released in 2005-2006, “The Pamela Principle," “The Pamela Principle No. 2 Hot Dam" and "P.S. I Love You: Pamela's Secret."

The movies were shot in Prague under the direction of Dillon Day, with stunning locations and a top-notch Euro-star supporting cast. The "Pamela" series included the blonde Hungarian actress named after superstar Pamela Anderson.

The suit also names four of the top adult streaming sites that allegedly struck separate deals with Sin City to stream the three videos. AEBN, AdultDVDEmpire, Excalibur Films and Private Media Group and its Gamelink division all are listed as defendants to the suit.

At post time after hours on Tuesday, XBIZ was unable to reach Angel Pictures and some of the defendants for comment.
