Toronto's Everything To Do With Sex Show Entertains, Educates

TORONTO — The Everything To Do With Sex Show arrived in Toronto from Nov. 19-22 to heat up the cold weather blues with entertainment and seminars, grossing more than $2 million throughout the weekend, according to reports.

Notoriously famous for its informative seminars that teach intriguing sensual lessons, this year’s festivities also added some edgier performances.

Allison Wood and her partner Andree DeVillers performed an alternative burlesque routine involving body paint called Erotic Resuscitation. Wood said, “I got to sponge down a male stripper on the main stage!”

According to show officials, the show is mostly populated by women, from the many seminars and live shows, that contribute to a comfortable environment to discuss topics of sex. ” Mikey Singer, the manager of The Everything To Do With Sex Show said, "We're saving relationships one sex life at a time."

The Everything To Do With Sex Show is among the most successful shows in North America because it is packed with informed retailers and sizzling entertainment, catering to two adult industries: porn and novelty. Attractions included Tera Patrick, who promoted her now book, “Sinner Takes All: A Memoir of Love and Porn. “

Adam Depass from LoveDreamer.com, whose booth was sent up in the center of the show floor, said, “Since we’re mainly an online company, we focus on gathering email addresses and are able to promote ourselves to local customers.” Visitors to the Lovedreamer.com booth received free gifts with an email subscription.

Businesses that set up booths say they are able to reach their target audiences at a more relaxed state, which dramatically increases sales. Carlyle Jansen from Good For Her has been a exhibitor since the show began.

“People that come to the show are looking for a bargain,” Jansen said. “What can you offer that’s unique and also at an affordable price?”

Everything To Do With Sex Show currently travels through London, Toronto and Hamilton, Canada and plans to expand the show to three more cities in 2011.
