'Avatar' Parody Sells Out in 48 Hours

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Hustler Video has announced that its highly anticipated parody of “Avatar” sold out of its first shipment less than two days after its release.

“This Ain’t Avatar XXX,” which was shot in 3D by XBIZ Director of the Year Axel Braun, hit the streets this week.

“This is crazy,” said David Diamond, national sales manager for Hustler. “I feel like I’m on fire. We knew this title would do well and we are ecstatic see the results. The best part is that people are still calling me for orders and I actually have to tell them that we are waiting on the second pressing."

He added with a laugh, “I love that I get to say that.”

Although the standard definition DVD comes with two pairs of anaglyph 3D glasses, the version of the film that the company says is a must-see is the 3D Blu-ray version. Since the entirety of the film was shot with a state-of-the-art 3D camera, the Blu-ray 3D version impeccably showcases the wonder that is modern 3D, the company said.
