Digital Playground Adds 2 New Vibes to Pirates Line

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Digital Playground will introduce an expanded version of its Pirate novelty line at the ANME Founders Show, July 11-13.

"We decided to introduce two new Pirates Hidden Pleasure Vibes in pink and pearlescent due to the overwhelming sales of our black and gold version,” said Farley Cahen, vice president of Novelty Development. “The pink and pearlescent versions are adorned with silver accents which give them a soft, feminine look. Additionally, they are powered by the same ultra-quiet yet extremely powerful three-speed motor, which powers the black and gold version. I look forward to our retailers and wholesalers enjoying the same success with these new designs as they have with the original one."

The Hidden Pleasure Vibes are mini-rockets with a skull motif design that come in satin-lined Treasure Chest storage boxes. The item’s handle and storage box also feature a gem design.

Digital Playground spent more than a year researching, developing and designing the line of products, the company said.

“The Pirates line has been a treasure chest for our business,” said Babeland Buyer, Phoebe Grott, "The Pirates movies shot to the No.1 bestselling DVD in our stores with the introduction of the Pirates Vibes.”

Calvista Australia CEO Michael Bassett said the Pirates line has exceeded his expectations.

“Both retailers and consumers have commented on the strength of these products in terms of engineering quality and finish,” Bassett said. “The term ‘toy’ is actually a misnomer, as Digital Playground ‘stimulators’ are serious pieces of kit-reliable, precise, exceedingly quiet with a massive pleasure index! The Treasure Vibes are a huge hit and we can’t wait to move these new models into the market."

Daniel Freedman, CEO of says, "We've already had to re-order twice. As soon as the customers see the beautiful packaging, they want it! Fans are attracted to their favorite Digital Playground stars and the toys are a great fit for our stores because the Pirates brand is so successful. The quality of the controllers of the Rabbits is top-notch and the countertop displays for the Pendant Vibes is first-class."

Samantha Lewis, CEO of Digital Playground adds, "Creating these toys has really been an adventure for me. I wanted these toys to satisfy women in every way. Like I've said before, from the functionality to the design, I wanted everything to be exactly what women want. These new models of our already popular toy are stylish, chic and effective."
