Sapphire Media Launches 'Girls Gone Wild' Channel

LONDON — Sapphire Media International, a European distributor of adult entertainment in multimedia platforms, has announced the launch of a brand new Girls Gone Wild television channel on Sky and Daring!TV.

Girls Gone Wild features adventurous college students partying and stripping in a variety of glamorous locations. The Girls Gone Wild brand has spawned DVDs, clothing, a men’s magazine and other lifestyle merchandise.

"We are delighted to be extending the reach of the brand onto U.K. television,” said Joe Francis, founder of Girls Gone Wild. “The compelling content has proved itself to be a winner throughout many countries of the world and it will be no different in the U.K. The viewer just loves the sexiness of the genuine girl next door that embodies the Girls Gone Wild brand."

Sapphire Media says it’s confident that the Girls Gone Wild channel with cut through the existing TV channel offerings in the U.K. and offer the viewer a real and entertaining alternative.

The company adds the combination of compelling content and the power of the brand will be a wining formula.

Sapphire Media recently entered into a licensing and cross-promotion agreement with a subsidiary of Beate Uhse AG for the launch of Daring!TV across Europe this summer.

Daring! is the brand name of Beate Uhse’s adult movie label. Daring!TV will replace Sapphire Media’s existing adult channel XXX Xtreme. The company says the new channel will set a higher standard for European adult channel providers by combining top quality content, drawn from both the Daring! Studio and other leading adult program producers worldwide.

Sapphire distributes 14 adult channels to more than 700 cable, satellite and Telco operators across Europe, the Middle East and Russia including Blue Hustler, Hustler TV and Nitegate.
