Internext Las Vegas will be broadcast live over the Internet via InternextLive.com. The new site will feature live web feeds from three cameras, all of which will be running from the center of the showroom from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. throughout the Jan. 5-7 event.
SmashBucks co-founder Mike Hawk, whose company is sharing the largest booth at the show with AdultFriendFinder, told XBiz the broadcast was designed to create a platform for people in the industry to meet, greet and celebrate their efforts with the world.
“We encourage everybody to come on stage and talk about their programs,” Hawk said. “It lets us meet these people on a higher level, have a conversation with them and do business with them further down the road.”
Hawk described the interviews scheduled to take place during the streaming as a veritable “who's who” of the adult industry, including well-known characters from both sides of the camera.
A number of industry veterans are scheduled to take turns as on-camera interviewers, including FlashCash's Hal and Tassy Pink, SpunkyCash's Punker Barbie, Mr. Skin's Derek Meklir, Cybersocket's Tina Ballina, TheContentStore.com's Jonathan Silverstein and YNOT's Jay and Bob.
Juicy D. Links and models Sunny Leone, Lady Lia, Aimee Sweet and Vanilla DeVille also are scheduled to make appearances.
“There are only a certain amount of webmasters at one show, and we wanted to reach all the webmasters in the world,” Hawk said. “The technology is there to upload the feed, do some marketing and promotion on it and let webmasters and other interested parties from all over the world meet faces they may only see on the boards.”
Interviewees slated to appear on the broadcast include performers Carmen Luvana, Christy Canyon and Taylor Wane, as well as industry heavyweights like Adult.com's Joe Lensman, Homegrown Video's Farrell Timlake and Bedfellow's Karl Edwards.
Hawk said there are plans to archive the streams so people from different time zones can still tune in, but admitted that the “live” format could inevitably have a few kinks.
“We have to have a sense of humor about the whole thing,” Hawk said. “It’s live, so anything can change.”
