XBIZ Forum Day 2 Demo Sessions Focus on Practical Porn

LAS VEGAS – Practical met porn in a big way on day two of this year’s XBIZ Summer Forum.

Some of the most popular hands-on demo sessions and workshops provided attendees with instant insight and information that would normally take weeks or months to gather.

A perennial question among webmasters is simply how to design a site for optimum performance so it can profit.

Although it may sound simple after years of adult website creation and testing that built the industry, new techniques have developed.

Bruno Dickman of Dickman’s Design Workshop instructed his packed workshop on the fundamentals of high performance design along with best practices that will help webmasters surpass the normal methodologies used to create websites.

His mantra stressed the importance of keeping the site creation task in context by always considering disparate users and the goal of maximizing conversions.

“There are a number of basic performance strategies that we’ve developed with multiple perspectives that need to be considered,” Brickman told attendees at his demo.

He listed the following 10 key components to be considered when building a site: accessibility; art; copy; content; information architecture; interaction; “findability;” search, social components and of course technology.

Brickman also noted that webmasters shouldn’t simply think of users as sitting in a big room and looking at their screens. “Users may be on a subway accessing the web. And they are not all the average American. Webmasters must take all cultures and new environments into consideration when building their sites,” Brickman said.

By creating sites that fulfill the user’s fantasy, a webmaster will see more affiliates and that results in more traffic, Brickman noted.

Conversion was also the buzz at Click Truth Inc’s demonstration for its conversion optimization system.

Even hindered with a wonky audio visual presentation, Click Truth President John (Johnny V) Van Arnam managed to speak about his company’s compelling new system that analyzes and maps users’ behavior, creates tailored profiles of that user and then serves content to the member’s area in order to maintain or stop a member from canceling. “No one is doing this right now. It’s not just analytics, nor heat mapping software or stat reporting. Click Truth will guide the surfer to his own profile correct buy.”

Van Arnam also pointed out that the system can usually work out the behavior analysis profiles of a site in as little as four days.

One of the most interesting uses put forth was its ability to pre-empt users from canceling by sending customized content to the member’s page by analyzing his habits from the preceding 48 hours.

Another useful demonstration was conducted by AdultCentro.

Company president Stan DaMan demonstrated its licensed video feed content platform that allows webmasters to control what content they want to include on their sites and manage billing and user data.

DaMan showed how his platform – that contains more than 10,000 DVDs – can be customized for member’s areas. The program also provides 10 pre-made skins including skins for the Apple iPad and mobile applications.

“A user can customize and re-use what’s been created. For example, we can dynamically change the color schemes to match the skin of the webmaster’s site. We can also offer video in WMV, MPG or whatever format desired,” he said.

Other features include a choice of 20 different languages and special lower video download formats for trial users that are less costly for the webmaster.

DaMan said his new website – AdultCentro – is now available for demonstrations.
