'The Golden Girls: A XXX Parody' Dedicated to 'Golden Girls' Star

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Director Lee Roy Myers dedicates New Sensations’ “The Golden Girls: A XXX MILF Parody” to the memory of Rue McClanahan who passed away June 3.

“I would like to dedicate ‘The Golden Girls: A XXX MILF Parody’ to the memory of Rue McClanahan, the sexually enlightened Southern belle we all enjoyed watching for years,” Myers said. “Rue’s work as Blanche opened peoples’ minds to the idea women can still be alluring and sexy well past the age society tells them to stop. Without Rue, I don’t think any of us would’ve even seen the possibilities the show had for an adult parody. May she have an eternity of standing ovations.”

New Sensations says it has received record orders for the title. But the success of the movie has been bittersweet to the cast, crew and producers of the parody.

McClanahan described her character Blanche, saying that she “is in love with life and she loves men” and according to New Sensations, that’s what this latest parody is trying to encapsulate and pay tribute to.

“I think our unparalleled number of orders is a testament to the original show,” says Belle Casten, New Sensations’ vice president of global sales. “It made people reevaluate their perceptions on beauty and age. I know our director Lee Roy Myers set out to make a sexy comedy, but I think along the way, he and all the great performers in the movie realized it was something more. Consumers will discover this too. Beauty is an attitude, and the ladies of ‘The Golden Girls: A XXX MILF Parody’ are definitely filled with plenty of attitude.”

“The Golden Girls: A XXX MILF Parody” is available as a two-disc DVD collectors set June 8. The DVD includes behind-the-scenes videos, outtakes, cum shot recap, party version, trailers to hit New Sensations’ movies, iPod formatting, photo gallery, chapter index and full motion menus.
