JRL Announces Nominees for 1st Annual Gay Film Awards

LOS ANGELES — Gay adult film industry publication JRL has announced the nominees for the first Annual Gay Film Awards.

The awards will be held Sept. 19 at the legendary Catch One Disco, a 12,000 square foot facility located at 4067 W. Pico Blvd.

The company says that talent is key to the adult industry and that’s why they’ve been recognized for their abilities to keep consumers on the edge of their seat.

"JRL is looking forward to the biggest night of the year and, we are just getting started,” JRL CEO Christopher Thais told XBIZ. “The time and energy that the JRL charts department and our retail chart reporters put into the nominations this year was a huge project. We are overwhelmed with the response that we have received over the JRL Gay Film Awards and we promise all of our supporters that they will not be disappointed.”

Thais says there will be trade booths available for merchants to promote their products and services as well as contests, special guest star appearances and more.

“One thing that we wanted to do is to highlight the hard back-breaking work the actors put into their films. We have always had award shows that only targeted producers and studios and not the talent. JRL is determined to make sure that everyone in our industry is recognized for their accomplishments. There are a total of 48 categories plus the Hall of Fame class of 2010.”

Thais added the company is working on a lot of exciting things with details to come.
