Evil Angel's Stagliano to Appear on FOX Network Tonight

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Evil Angel owner John Stagliano is scheduled to appear on the FOX Business Network’s John Stossel’s “Stossel” show tonight at 8 p.m. EDT.

The interview was taped May 19 and centers on the subject of the 1st Amendment.

John Stagliano is currently being prosecuted by the federal government in an obscenity trial for the distribution of two porn movies and a third trailer for a porn movie.

He was indicted in April 2008 and the trial will begin in Washington on July 7. Stagliano faces up to 32 years in prison and millions in fines.

Also appearing on the show with Stagliano are Andrew Napolitano, a former judge and current FOX analyst, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the author of “Infidel.”

Following is a brief synopsis from the FOX Business site: "'Congress shall make no law' ... begins the 1st Amendment. What a concept! Congress should pass no law. How often do we hear that today? Not often enough. The 1st Amendment goes on to say 'Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech.' What does that mean? That’s what our show is about. Does it mean you can burn the American flag? What about films that depict animal cruelty? Or obscenity?"

It continues, "Stossel talks to a porn producer facing 32 years in prison for producing fetish films like 'Milk Nymphos.' While we in America may take freedom of speech for granted, it’s important to remember how unique this freedom is. In other countries, hundreds died in riots after a newspaper published cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed. The Canadian government charged a journalist who published the cartoons with discrimination. Most recently, Comedy Central censored a 'South Park' episode that featured Mohammed … while leaving in a scene where Buddha snorts cocaine."

A short clip of John Stossel appearing on FOX Business discussing the episode can be watched on the FOX Business website.

The episode of Stossel will also air at 12 a.m. EDT and May 22 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. EDT, and May 23 at 10 p.m. EDT.
