Prostitution Bust Uncovers Large Bestiality Outfit

MARIETTA, Ohio. — It was back in mid-October when police in Washington County first raided a home in this small Ohio town of 15,000 under suspicion that four local women and one man were running a prostitution ring.

During an announcement made by Sheriff Larry Mincks on Dec. 11, however, it was learned that police also found something else: More than 300 bestiality videos with connections to a website that may have brought in several hundred thousand dollars over the last few years.

Mincks said that the male suspect in the case, Bill Reed, operated SickVids.com out of the home. The website reportedly sold videos depicting women engaged in sex acts with a host of animals, including dogs and ponies.

Most of the videos were made outside of the U.S., Mincks said, though several are thought to have been produced locally as well.

Purchasing such videos is not illegal in Ohio, but selling them is, meaning Reed could face 5TH degree felony charges for each transaction recorded from his site.

As of Tuesday morning, SickVids still existed as a domain name, but the only content found on the site was a banner ad for free business cards.

Reed has yet to be charged for any crimes related to either the site or the prostitution ring, but still is part of an ongoing investigation, along with the four unnamed women, Mincks said.

A call by XBiz to a number in the Marietta directory listed under “Bill Reed” was not answered Tuesday.
