“Castle Boutique is a new concept that will give us the opportunity to reach a wider audience of consumers that perhaps we previously haven’t,” said Mark A. Franks, president and CEO of Castle Boutique Group, Inc. “We are always thinking of new and innovative ways to expand our retail offerings and enhance the retail experience for consumers.”
The store is 4,000 square feet and offers lingerie, apparel, shoes, lotions, toys, games and novelty items, as well as a limited selection of traditional adult products.
Erica Velasco, Castle Megastore marketing manager, told XBIZ that by not stocking an abundance of adult products, Castle Boutique offers a more traditional retail experience than a typical adult store.
“The boutique is targeted heavily to women and couples,” Velasco said. “It’s extremely woman-friendly and has a wider offering of lingerie, shoes and fun bachelorette gag gifts.”
She also said that the boutique was designed to offer an open and friendly atmosphere with a soft, pastel color scheme to make visitors feel comfortable.
“The store has soft items, like lingerie, taking up most of the space, with adult products in one small section in the back of the store,” Velasco said. “The store creates an inviting atmosphere that is cheery and playful.”
According to Velasco, plans for additional Castle Boutique locations are in the works.
“Castle Boutique’s inaugural location will offer customers a warm, fun and sophisticated experience when shopping,” Franks said.
Castle Boutique has a website, CastleBoutiques.com, which is currently under construction. Velasco said the site would fully launch within the first half of the year.
Castle Boutique is located at 266 N. Boundary St., in Wasilla.
