TrannyAwards.com Announces Winners

LOS ANGELES — The winners of the 2009 Tranny Awards were announced Jan. 8 and will be honored March 4 at Club Cobra in Los Angeles.

The second annual Tranny Awards was sponsored by ImLive and Grooby.com. Transgender Internet and DVD company Grooby Productions launched the awards because of the lack of recognition that the transgender erotica industry gets, the company said.

Voting took place online and spanned 11 categories with winners taking home cash prizes as well as special promotions and advertising.

A panel of seven invited judges that included members of the adult industry and fans determined the winners.

The Best Website Model winner Hazel Tucker was awarded $1,000 from Ultimate T-girl. Tucker also took home the ImLive-sponsored $1,000 grand prize for Best Performer in a DVD.

Grooby Productions awarded $1,000 to Olivia Love in the Lifetime Achievement special category. Love made a comeback as a transsexual performer in 2008 after almost 10 years.

The Grooby New Face of 2009 award and $1,000 was given to Amy Daly by Grooby Productions. The company also awarded performer Morgan Bailey $1,000 and the title Shemale Yum Model of the Year. The winner was determined by members of ShemaleYum.com.

Other winners included:

Best Black Tgirl Model of the Year: Natalia Coxx
Best Non-TS Performer: Billy Long
Best DVD Release: “Hazel Does Hollywood”
Best DVD Director: Joey Silvera
Best Solo TG Website: Wendy Williams
Best Amateur Website: Delia TS
