LOS ANGELES — Fetish gear manufacturer and retailer Stockroom.com has named Shae Flanigan, a leader in the fetish community, as project manager.

Flanigan is a former banker and software engineer known in the fetish community for her role as Mistress Shae Flanigan. She provided professional domination and BDSM education at The Dominion, a fetish club in Los Angeles and at her own BDSM dungeon, The Academy.

"Shae Flanigan brings unique skills and experience as an implementer to our company," said Mike Herman, president of Stockroom. "Her knowledge of the fetish community combined with a proven track record in software and systems development is a terrific asset in managing projects from start to finish and ensuring that deadlines are met, a critical factor in a seasonal business.”

She also will be instrumental in the completion of Stockroom’s new affiliate and wholesale programs, as well as partnerships with other companies, Herman said.

Flanigan worked as a software test engineer at Washington Mutual Bank (now JPMorgan Chase). She specialized in testing, team training, isolating and tracking defects and verifying the stability and usability of operating system applications.

Prior to that she had a variety of roles at the Microsoft Main Campus in Redmond, Wash., including day-to-day administrative management of two test teams during the Windows 2000 project, quality assurance testing during the Windows XP release and creating best practices for internal Microsoft employees following release of the XP operating system.
