Kelli Roberts, the head of marketing for Amateur District, told XBIZ that while the dormant existing site drove her crazy, she was always too busy to work on it. It was the release of the movie “Amateur Neighbors” and photos of one of its stars Eve Cruz that encouraged the revamp of the site.
“She was so pretty and I thought to myself, what a total and complete waste not doing something more with this site so I made it a priority and worked day and night with our artist Dave to get the new site up,” Roberts said.
The new AmateurDistrict.com allows users to download movies in multiple formats without download restrictions. The company also offers weekly updates and thousands of hi-res photos shot on-set of each movie.
Members also can download scenes onto their iPod or iPhones at no additional charge.
"It seems that everyone has an iPhone these days so providing our movies to our members in a format that works on their iPhones makes perfect sense,” Roberts said. “I personally watch movies from my iPhone all the time so I couldn't imagine releasing a site that didn't at the very least provide something for that platform."
The company’s line of amateur movies includes its first release “Absolute Asses,” which was released three years ago, “My First XXX Video” and “Massive Amateur Meat.”
Roberts said the first step in launching the affiliate program was taken following an announcement on XBIZ.com.
“From the get go we decided to were going to use NATS,” Roberts said. “It has really become an industry standard. Almost as if it was destiny, I happened to be on XBIZ I read an article about a special promotion Too Much Media was running on NATS so I signed up right away. NATS is a great product, something webmasters known and trust but getting it for free was even better.”
The Amateur District Cash Program offers 50 percent revenue share. Sales tools, including banners, free hosted galleries, downloadable video clips and movie trailers, are available at Affiliates.AmateurDistrict.com.
“All sales pitches aside, we know right now the economy isn't great so we worked hard to find the perfect cost per month that would let members feel they are getting real value for the money spent while still allowing our affiliates to make money month after month with the members they refer to us,” Roberts said.
She added that the content on AmateurDistrict.com is exclusive. The company has discontinued licensing rights to other sites.
“This is a big deal because this will make it easier for our affiliates to offer our movies online without having to pay-per-minute fees,” Roberts said. “Don't get me wrong, I love VOD, but why pay per minute fees when you can download every single one of our movies for one low price? Smart webmasters will take advantage of that selling point and make a killing promoting our unlimited downloads.”
