NakedSword.com Launches Premiere Series

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay streaming video site NakedSword.com announced the launch of a new “Premiere Series” of content this week, beginning with the video-on-demand release of Michael Lucas’ “Dangerous Liaisons.”

According to NakedSword President Tim Valenti, the new Premier Series will include both newly released films from well-known studios as well as limited VOD releases that coincide with a DVD’s debut.

“We wanted to increase the online visibility of our top studios,” Valenti said. “The films we’ve chosen for the Premiere Series have extensive supporting content that allow us to promote them more aggressively than we could a standard title.”

Valenti said the idea for the Premiere Series came during a promotional campaign for Falcon Studios’ “Cross Country,” which debuted in September. During its launch, NakedSword offered limited-time promotional downloads from the production, behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, cast photo galleries and other supporting content on its site, all of which coincided with the DVD’s release.

The result, Valenti said, was that the limited-time “Cross Country” scenes skyrocketed to the top of NakedSword’s most-watched-video list.

“Other VOD providers can’t match our ability to promote movies online,” Valenti said. “With each of these films we’ve built multi-faceted mini-sites within the NakedSword site that not only promote the particular movie, but also upcoming releases from that studio.”

Future films in the Premiere Series include Buckshot Studio’s “Beyond Perfect,” Raging Stallion’s “Arabesque,” as well as “Wet Palms,” NakedSword’s co-production with Jet Set.
