Stormy Daniels to Be Arraigned on Sept. 3

TAMPA, Fla. — Adult performer and director Stormy Daniels on Monday was given an arraignment date after she was arrested in late July for domestic violence when she allegedly battered her husband because she was "upset because the way the laundry had been done."

Daniels, who was taken in for striking her husband "Michael [Mosny] on his head with her hands several times,” said she did not intentionally hit her husband but acknowledged tossing a potted plant in the kitchen sink, throwing the couple's wedding album on the floor and breaking some candles, according to a Tampa Bay Police Department report.

After spending a night at Hillsborough County jail, she was later released on $1,000 bond after family relative Dennis Mosny posted it.

Daniels, who has said she is interested in challenging Republican David Vitter next year for his Senate seat from Louisiana, will face another celebrity of sorts on Sept. 3 when she faces a judge.

The jurist assigned to the case is none other than Hillsborough County Judge Nick Nazaretian, who has a starring role in “Pet Court,” a series pilot airing on the Tru TV cable channel (once known as Court TV).

When he’s not hearing criminal cases, which number about 40 a day, Nazaretian adjudicates citations handed out by animal control officers on issues ranging from dog bites to noise complaints.

A message seeking comment from Daniels’ attorney, Mark Passler, was not returned by post time.
