HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve has launched a website to promote "The 8th Day," its upcoming "post-apocalyptic epic vision" that will be released on Sept. 8.

The website features exclusive trailers, photos, biographies of cast members and information about the production, all overshadowed by a large clock counting down to the release of the DVD.

"The 8th Day" tells the story of Samantha, played by Kayden Kross, who awakens from a cryogenic sleep to find the world she knew is gone and her city is overrun by brutal tribes of lawless proto-humans. After Samantha is rescued by a scrappy scavenger girl played by Amber Rayne, she is led to a desolate desert village known as Elysium Fields. But when the charismatic ruler takes Samantha under his wing, he discovers who she really is — and decides that she must make the ultimate sacrifice.

"The 8th Day" stars Adam & Eve contract performers Kayden Kross and Bree Olson, with Tommy Gunn, Kylie Ireland, Amber Rayne, Evan Stone, Tyler Knight, Derrick Pierce, Aaron Wilcoxxx, Jandi Lin, Krissy Leigh, Poppy Morgan, Tori Black, Violet Marcell, Darryl Hanah, Cheyne Collins, Sledge Hammer, Trinity Post, Chris Cannon and Jerry. It was directed by Ren Savant from a script he wrote with Tony G.

"The 8th Day" will be released in a four-disc set with more than 13 hours of program material.
