Woodhull Freedom Foundation Sets 'Evening of Sexual Freedom'

LOS ANGELES — The Woodhull Freedom Foundation, Los Angeles has announced that it will hold "An Evening of Sexual Freedom," a fundraiser in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, Aug. 15. hosted by Nina Hartley, Carol Queen and Mistress Shae Flanigan.

The Woodhull Freedom Foundation, named for 19th century activist Victoria Woodhull, is a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation advocating freedom of sexual expression for consenting adults.

Invited guests for the event include Lamalani, Ms. International Leather 2009; Ernest Greene, adult film director and editor of Taboo magazine; and Jeff Booth of Erotic University. Sponsors for the event include Babeland, The Stockroom, Hustler Hollywood and MikeyAndMandy.com.

The Woodhill Freedom Foundation promotes the ideals of Victoria Woodhull, a progressive and outspoken nineteenth-century Suffragette who introduced sex-positive values to America during the repressive Victorian era. WFFLA works to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right and fights to protect and advance freedom of speech and sexual expression.

The Foundation works to produce national debate around sex and sexuality, bringing public attitudes and private behaviors closer together, and ultimately fighting to remove the stigmas surrounding expressions of gender and sexuality. The Woodhull Freedom Foundation, Los Angeles is the latest local office in the WFF network.

Tickets to “A Celebration of Sexual Freedom” are $35 per person and are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. The exact location will be disclosed to ticket holders.
