California Exotic Novelties Celebrates 15th Anniversary

CHINO, Calif. — Fifteen years ago, Susan Colvin founded California Exotic Novelties, with a mission: “I want this company to provide the highest quality, most innovative, safest adult toys and novelties on the market.”

Colvin assembled a team of professionals and blurred the lines between departments in order to provide a group so dynamic that it encouraged everyone to contribute ideas for product development, manufacturing and distribution, she said.

Al Bloom, CalExotics’ director of marketing, said the company has grown exponentially.

“Five years ago, we offered about 1,800 different items, today we offer over 2,800, a 55 percent increase in products," he said. "Fifteen years ago, we started with a core handful of people, and a vision. Today, CalExotics employs over 90 people out of our 200,000 square foot facility in Chino, Calif.”

Colvin credits the company’s success to its consumers and partnerships with retailers.

“Our success wouldn’t be possible without the trust and acceptance by our consumers, and the strong bonds we created with our great team of retailers and distributors,” she said. “As we mark our 15th anniversary, my personal pledge to you is that the reputation for quality, safety, innovation, customer service, and dedication California Exotic Novelties has built will not waver.”
