Ringmaster Erica McLean Helms ‘Hardcore Circus’

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Director Erica McLean’s "Hardcore Circus XXX" is set for wholesale-retail release via LFP Video. The film is also the first blue movie from McLean’s nascent Cheeky Monkey production label.

"Hardcore Circus XXX" reps a distinct change in direction from her helming duties on Hustler Video’s “Barely Legal” series.

"It’s much darker than ‘Barely Legal.’ These are wild, artistic and sexually intense scenes,” McLean said. “That seems where I’m headed with the company. I’ve got some great ideas brewing for future projects. It’s a very exciting time for me."

The lavishly costumed and art-directed sexpic drew for inspiration upon such disparate sources as the 1938 classic "Under the Big Top" and the Britney Spears video "Circus" helmed by Francis Lawrence.

" ‘Hardcore Circus XXX’ follows me on a twisted, erotic dream-induced journey filled with Bohemian prophecy and sexual exploration. It’s an epic feature that taps into a more edgy and artistic side of the adult entertainment genre," McLean said.

"We couldn’t be more proud of Erica. When we first saw her trailer for the movie, naturally we were blown away," said LFP Creative Director Drew Rosenfeld.

The large cast of featured players includes Kendra Banxx, Audrey Hollander, Tere Joyce, Kimberly Kane, Starri Knight, Lilly Lovely, Madison Scott, Aiden Starr and Lavish Styles with Otto Bauer, Tommy Gunn, Sergio Roho, Rob Rotten, Evan Stone and Lee Stone.

The late Blue Iris, Ron Jeremy, Midget Mike and McLean herself are also featured.

Photo galleries, video clips and BTS featurettes are available at the promotional microsite HardcoreCircusXXX.com.

A softcore trailer has been posted to YouTube.

Earlier this year, McLean invited XFANZ TV behind the scenes for a making-of documentary.

"Hardcore Circus XXX" is scheduled to street on June 16.
