Wicked Pictures Plans ‘2040’ Sci-fi Epic

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Wicked Pictures is returning to the genre that made its feature “Euphoria” an award-winner. Directed by Brad Armstrong, “2040” takes a look at the future of adult entertainment where sex droids have taken the place of human performers.

Borrowing props and sets from mainstream sci-fi movies, “2040” portrays a changed landscape of adult entertainment. With the creation of “anabot” sex droids (who have the capacity to move, talk and have sex), flesh-and-bone adult stars have been replaced — and with the creation of the MRA-5 model, they can even feel.

Wicked is expected to announce a major collaboration with a contemporary love doll creator that will feature some of the designs debuted in “2040.”

Starring Wicked girls Alektra Blue, Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei, Kirsten Price and Mikayla Mendez, “2040” shoots over the next two weeks in Los Angeles. Blue is featured as MRA-5 (affectionately known as Mira), the prototype “anabot” who is brought on set to do a scene with a human named Ryan (Randy Spears) who replaces a malfunctioning android.

“The scene is incredible, and the people on the set are astonished by how life-like she is,” read a Wicked press release. “Ryan can’t believe it either … and somewhere during the scene something happens — she begins to ‘feel.’ She’s more real than anyone could have ever imagined. There is an immediate chemistry/attraction between the two, and they are instantly bound by what will turn out to be a forbidden love.

“But before long, it appears there’s a ‘ghost in the machine.’ Mira’s programming seems to have a flaw in it … and only time will tell just how close to human she really is.”

The biggest scene in the movie is when the Wicked girls join a big orgy with more than a dozen performers including Jayden Jaymes, Tory Lane, Kayla Carrera, Miko Lee, Spears and Armstrong.
